This beautiful room scheme would never work if you were just to talk about the colours you wanted to use. However, by hanging art work that pulls the look together you can achieve just about anything. Expensive you might think - but I have put together the scheme for you which enables most budgets to “Get The Look”.
Do you have a sofa that you love and has a good hardwood frame? It fits the room perfectly and its super comfy. You don’t need to buy a new one and spend in excess of £3,000 - I’m pretty sure that we could recover yours for half the price - to get the look we’ll even do the studs if the shape allows.
Using this Velvet shown below in colour Brinjal - it’s hardwearing and soft to the touch and to complete the look we’ll add the scatter cushions in Daffodil.
Paint your walls in Zoffany Velvet Blue Flat Emulsion - it has a luxurious finish with a brightness that some chalky paints don't possess. £46.50 for 2.5lts - not the cheapest of paints but use an off the shelf, mid grey, matt undercoat and you’ll save having to do 3 coats in the blue. Yes AND I found the Pineapple Lamp at Dunelm Mill £49.00 - sale of the century !! Use a copper coloured lined lamp shade for an amber glow.
I don’t know about you but I’m already imagining myself sitting in this room with my favourite glass of wine resting beside me on the side tables that I made out of some old Tea Chests.
Painted in Zoffany Ink - use a Flat Emulsion again on these pieces. Polish up the metal edges for some lustre.
And Finally - we have collaborated with Artist Jason Hawkridge who will be bringing an affordable collection of Triptych Art to your homes.
So my stylish followers - This is just one snippet of what’s to come and how to have the most beautiful home at a cost that won’t leave you trembling.
